May I suggest some cheez whiz on top just before you add the onions?? Now we're talkin'!! I bet Sandra makes things like that at home all the time!! Andrew Cuomo is one lucky man, I'm tellin' you!

MMMMMM...I am getting some really tasty ideas from this board!
All the suggestions here sound really great, how about this for the holidays?:
The stovetop stuffing made with cream of mushroom soup, the non-dairy creamer and green beans subbed for the peas. It will be an extra fancy stuffing/green bean cassorole! Put some of those crispy onions on top and YUM!

Wow, I've never tried it, but with high fructose corn syrup being higher up in the ingredients list than salt, I bet it's not salty at all! I'll have to tell my wife to pick some up.

If Stovetop is too salty, can you add a whole potato to it like you can to soups to soak up some of the salt?

I always add a can of chicken and rice soup to mine. You can get low sodium soup too.
For holidays, I add some nondairy coffee creamer and a can of peas too. The fancier the better on the big days!

The stuffing mix is already way too salty, but you can get very-low-sodium chicken broth.

That sounds very good. Does it make it really salty?

I like using stovetop when I'm in a hurry but I add a can of chicken broth instead of the water and it really adds to the flavor. Kim
