Squeezing some orange in the water works good, too.

Ok so this would be a tip!! When I make meatballs and sauce I always fry up a little portion of would be meatball so I can taste for seasoning. Just make a tiny little patty and taste. Judge it by the way you want your meatballs to taste and adjust seasoning accordingly. If it's bland in the beginning it will stay that way and if it's delicious in the beginning it will get even better

Welcome to the Message Boards.
I clean my microwave sort of like this but with plain water -- or even after I cook something with a lot of moisture in it. Much easier to keep ahead of it than to wait!

From picking the best produce at the market to get more bang for your buck to cleaning your oven after that messy casserole, check out http://lovemyphilly.com/category/articles/ for how-to-guides for practically any household dilemmas.
Microwave cleaning:
• Fill a microwave-safe glass with 2 cups of water and either 1 teaspoon of vanilla or a few slices of lemon.
• Run on high for 5 minutes and wipe the sweet-smelling interior clean with a paper towel.
