If you really want to tone up and lose weight I suggest the Get Ripped program by Jari Love. Get Ripped 1000 also incorporates cardio. Don't do these if you are just starting since they are intermediate-advanced. But they are super effective and really helped me lose the 50 pounds I gained during my pregnancy.
Beginner Level: Denise Austin Boot Camp (strengthening section - DVD also includes cardio and flexibility sections)
Advanced Level: anything from Cathe Friedrich. You can get these from cathe.com or collagevideo.com

hi- I use the Firm program as well as I just purchased the Turbo Jam program which is affilated with the Power 90 program. I have a bad back and so far so good with both plans. I do 2 different ones because I get bored very easily and these 2 programs keep me moving. Hope that helps.

I do Power 90, I love it. It is so easy and you can really get into it. Plus it has an online web-site that you can log all you progress for the day and keep track of how much weight you lose.

I really enjoy the Denise Austin videos as well - it is a fun and balanced workout that is simple but effective. It always gets my pulse going and adds a little something different to each workout, there's never two that's the same. She works different muscles in each 30 min section, and is constantly mentioning good health tips during the workout (she also is a mother of 4).

My sister loves "The Biggest Loser" tapes also. She really like the male trainer's workouts. She feels inspired. I personally am not able to work out at home because I always find excuses not to do the workout. But I do have one yoga dvd. Good luck!

I love the Tae Bo series by Billy Blanks! He is motivating and it is quick paced kickboxing for toning and cardio.

That doesn't sound very healthy to me. I hear some people gain weight when they quit smoking, so maybe that's why she smokes. She should quit though.

I enjoy videos by The Firm. They are all different, but they are known for there cardio and sculpting. You can usually find them at Wal-mart. Also if you have satellite, turn to fitv, they have several different workout programs.

Our Wal-Mart had "Walk Away the Pounds". I love this DVD!! It's got 1,2 or 3 miles you can do. So...depending on how much time you have, you can get in a great workout!!

HOLD ON!!! I HAVE YOUR ANSWER TO EXCERCISING AT HOME. I am a 31 year old mother of 4 who began working out at home when I worked full time, over 10 years ago. I would put the kids to bed and work out. I started with Richard Simmons and then onto Jane Fonda...but quickly got burned out. A lady that I worked with recommened Collagevideos.com If you go to the website there are hundreds and hundreds of videos that you can order and they will mail you (once a month) a booklet that shows all the latest videos and success stories. I tell everyone I know about them...and no i do NOT work for the company Good luck and God bless you! Christina
