I seem to recall something about bananas being referred to as a "superfood". Don't remember the exact source or rationale but that notion stuck w/ me because I thought it kind of weird. Maybe my idea of a "superfood" is not the same as what was being said about a banana. It may well have come from Alton Brown/Good Eats/FoodNetwork... but I can't be sure about that.

Is flaxseed oil suposed to be a "superfood"? I've heard it's high in monounsaturated fatty acids (a good fat). How much of this is safe to consumer a day?
