I'm sorry you're sad, snowmann. I wish there was a huggy emoticon I could put here. :(

Yes, I'm back partially. I think I'm just going to be helping people with allergy questions since I am pretty familar with Kraft's labeling policy. Because of some users (chef caine, Culeen1) have really been harsh and I think that goes against the "Spirit" of the Kraft message boards. I probably won't be posting like I was, but I will be around if anyone has any gluten or allergy questions. As much as I loved posting and contributing, It no longer becomes fun when you have people critizing your every post and making false claims about you. They even thought I am a moderator in discuise from Kraft, lol. This can't be any farther from the truth. I did at one time want that, but they way things are now - you couldn't pay me to do what Pam does.

Thanks for asking Jen

I really don't know. The teachers always refer to it as wheat intolerance when they discuss the children who have a problem with wheat. It is different from being gluten intolerant, though.

You're back!

It's intolerance -- with one "l." Not that I'm intolerant. Just thought you'd like to know.

And yes, there is such a thing as wheat intolerance, just as there is dairy/nut/fruit/vegetable intolerances.

Is there such a thing as a wheat intollerance, or is it just a wheat allergy?

There is a difference between gluten intolerance and wheat intolerance. That might be why a beverage containing barley is acceptable to her.

Boxed potatoes always contain sulfites. Be very wary if you suffer from asthma ( some people have died ) or migraines. I wouldn't touch boxed potatoes with a 10 foot pole.
