See my username?
Yeah. I hate the new formula.
I posted somewhere else about this new change, but I don't care...I want to say loud and clear that new Catalina shouldn't be called Catalina at all.

Please, Kraft...If you value us at all CHANGE IT BACK. If it was changed for healthy ingredient reasons, CHANGE IT BACK. Please?

Why have they done this? No warning at all, they just changed my Catalina dressing to a spicy hot catalina. For me that takes about 3 meals away from me...no more salads? taco's? that's crazy. I want the old catalina back. Your marketing the new ones that no ones wants, drop those and bring back the favorites that people have purchased for umpteen years..........I have gone to every store around looking for some of the old catalina and no one has it......please bring back your GREAT tasting catalina dressing...life is hard enough...don't take our dressings!!:_|

i already posted in a thread, i hope they all get consolidated. but just in case, i want to make sure someone hears me: the new stuff was a waste of my money. i feel bad throwing out perfectly good food, but it's NOT perfectly good and i can't justify giving away something i think tastes awful. maybe to the shelter...?
i am going to go find Kroger California Honey French and hope for the best. goodbye, kraft. it's been a nice 30+ years.

My kids and I hate it. Hope they bring the old one back. In the mean time, I am going around the old stores snatching all the old Catalina bottles I can find. Won't buy the new one again.

Its taken me about half an hour, maybe more, to find a spot where I can send some feedback to kraft about their "FRESH NEW TASTE" , (particularly where i could do so without leaving my phone number, been there done that, got the marketing calls.) The options are really really, sad.
In any case, Im particularly commenting about the RANCH dressing, figured this was a compatible spot, even tho i dont use catalina... Kraft Ranch was the only ranch I could ever stand, and in fact I really loved it and used it with many, many foods - as dressing and dip.
Its just one of those staples you dont know how to get along without- and then came the horrible day all the original Kraft dressings disappeared from my store, (and all the stores i could find), and all the dressings were replaced with the "fresh new taste" version. (Interestingly, the previous bottles had reassured us "new look, but same great taste")
I hesitatingly tried the new one hoping somehow it would still be edible, but of course it was absolutely and completely inedible. I never did like other brands' "idea" of ranch, but thought well maybe some of them got wise and improved- well i took home 5 brands of ranch that day, and trashed them all, none came close to the original Kraft ranch.

Its been awful, and Im afraid to even try the old standby thousand island- one would think thats too simple to mess up, but then the store brand of that flavor is inedible also. If Kraft thinks that is an improvement to the ranch, Lord only knows what they have done to thousand island.

Now i have meals i have to rethink because they are dull with no dip, I didnt really want to go to plain ketchup with everything. :(

This "new taste" thing is a fiasco that i believe kraft will come to see like the "new coke" fiasco, and some day it will quietly go away and "classic" ranch will reappear, at which time i will begin buying it again. No one else i know likes it either, and I saw another post in the forums where someone made a remark saying "no one likes" the new ranch flavor.
Some things, you just dont need to mess with. I dont know what they got in their heads, but it was a BIG mistake.
I bought alot of Kraft Ranch in the past, but I wont be buying an ounce ever again until this new junk goes away.

For some reason the picture isn't showing up, it's defaulting to a star. No idea why!

As for not working for Kraft, I'm not in the plants or offices to know what they're doing with any recipe, I learn it as you do. Moderators are here to help you find things and share your concerns with Kraft in our reports. We take note of your concerns and share them onward so you are being heard. =)

Hope that clarifies better.

The new great taste of the catalina dressing is truly awful. I hope that they bring back the original because it was the only dressing that my family will eat. Catalina (the original) was the only dressing that I ever purchased or used at resturants. Please bring back the original or my family won't be able to eat salad again.

Deanne,
TRUST ME..The folks that LIKE Catalina LIKE Catalina. There is no getting around that. If you like it, you like it. Nuff said. If it's been changed - loss of purchasers, NUFF SAID!! Speaking only for myself, I can say, WITHOUT doubt, if I found a restaurant that had Catalina as a dressing choice I would most certainly put them on my list of favorites. I have ALWAYS had Catalina on my weekly shopping list, ALWAYS!! So very sad that there has been a change. Can't think of of anything more to say.

The New Cataline Dressing is absolutely awful. I threw it out and will never buy it again.

They need to bring back an original version.

What were they thinking? My guess was either a new consultant or focus group -- THEY GOT IT SO WRONG!

I went through the nuisance of registering so get word to Kraft -- hope someone sees this thread.

KRAFT: IF IT'S NOT BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT.

Catalina has been my preferred salad dressing for at least 30 years. The "new fresh taste" is awful. I threw it in the trash along with my salad and I will NEVER buy it again. Kroger California Honey French is still excellent AND cheaper!

I too, like many others, only signed up to complain about the new Catalina Dressing. "Fresh New Taste" ? I don't think so. It's AWFUL!!!!

I've been using it for 20+ years. I took one bite of my salad and thought YUK! But being a trooper I thought "Well, maybe it's just me", so I tried another bite, which was even worse than the first!! To me it tasted like an onion with some spices thrown in for good measure, my throat even burned after I swallowed it!! Needless to say I threw my salad out along with the Catalina Dressing.

You can't even technically call this Catalina anymore because its not. It doesn't even remotely taste like the "old" recipe, totally different.

I called the 800 number on the bottle and was told that they have no plans to change it back. I was also told that from time to time they evaluate a product and if consumers don't seem satisfied with it, or sales have slowed, that that could be the reason for the change. Give me a break!! Catalina Dressing had to be one of their best sellers. I have my own thoughts as to why they changed it, but I guess I have to be "political correct" and not mention why, some of you may know what I'm getting at.

Give it up folks, no matter how much we complain I think this horrible new stuff is here to stay. When I told the lady on the phone that I wouldn't be purchasing Kraft products anymore she said "Well, thats always your choice", more or less go blow.

Hey, by the way has anyone tasted the "new" Oscar Mayer hot dogs? Now there's another great "new taste"

Take care all.
