i'm the only 1in my fam who will eat these little buggers (they do smell a bit off) so i had never actually seen the plant they come off of. weird. martha s had one on her show, but then she would.
i love them halved, steamed and tossed with a bit of parm and fresh ground pepper as well. yum. they're also great with a light cheese sauce or just a spray of butter. no matter the "aroma", the flavor is fantastic! i've never roasted them. i'm going to try that next week...thanks for the tip!

Sorry, but I hate Brussel sprouts. They're nasty little things! They also stink the kitchen up.

They are also perfect for roasting. Just rinse and take off any weird looking outside leaves. Cut in half, toss on a sheet pan w/some olive oil and salt & pepper. Pop in a 450 oven for about 20 minutes. When they start to look all toasted and juicy, they're done. Excellent.

You can steam them just like broccoli or any other veggie. And serve plain or with melted butter poured over or cheese. I like to sprinkle parmesan cheese on plain sprouts.

Just buy some frozen ones and toss them in a pan with water cook until tender, drain and add butter if you wish. They are really good that way. They dont have to be peeled or cut unless you buy fresh then you want to take the first couple leaves off and if you prefer to cut them in half before cooking them thats ok to. Its all preference and we all have our own preferences. But whenn you make then sit back and enjoy them, Oh and have a bite for me to please hahahaha take care Lori

I've alwalys loved brussel sprouts, but never made them myself. Only had them at restaurants or at other people houses, and I was too embarrassed to ask. And I don't think my family has ever seen one let alone eat them. Do you steam them like any other veggie? Do they have to peeled or cut?
