I've noticed that the original poster, "Lilmisshonkytonk", has not visited this Kraftfoods message forum since her last post above.

She mentioned the fact that her first experience here I quote "somewhat unpleasant".

She also made an apology "For those I have come across to as ignorant, I apologize. Being my first time posting a question via the internet on any site, I have to say this has been somewhat unpleasant."

This is a lesson for each one of us to be considerate and kind to everyone in this forum.

As for Lilmisshonkytonk's recipe at the end, I've printed this out and have added this to my collection of recipes. This cherry/tomato salsa sounds good on on chicken breast before baking.

Lilmisshonkytonk, where ever you are, thank you for your contribution and sharing your recipe with us here in the Kraftfoods community. :)

*slaps his forehead like the V8 vegetable commerical*

I can't stop laughing! :^O

This set of posts from last summer makes for good reading and good for lots of laughs!

I was very confused and had to re-read the posts.

I'm still confused about what all the ruckus is about.

Deanne, I got to hand it to you to stop the cherry and tomato mayhem here!

You know what they say about laughter being the best medicine...

I can't stop laughing...

Horray!!! I've got the recipe from Chery Republic (the people who made the original salsa I tried and want to reproduce) - they were kind enough to send me a recipe (not their secret recipe of course). I wanted to share it for any facing my dilemma!!!

Cherry Salsa
1 1/3 cups frozen unsweetened tart cherries
1/4 cup coarsely chopped dried tart cherries
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1 tablespoon seeded and chopped jalapeños (see note)
1 clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro, or 1/2 teaspoon dried cilantro
2 Cups Chopped Tomato
1 teaspoon cornstarch

Coarsely chop frozen tart cherries. Let cherries thaw and drain, reserving 1 tablespoon cherry juice. When cherries are thawed, combine drained cherries, dried cherries, onion, jalapenos, garlic and cilantro in a medium saucepan; mix well. Combine reserved cherry juice and cornstarch in a small bowl; mix until smooth. Stir into cherry mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium-high heat until mixture is thickened. Let cool.
Serve with tortilla chips and/or cooked chicken or pork.

I think someone posted quite a few of them a few days back.

Maybe reread this thread?

Since so many people have had a hard time trying to find what you're looking for I'd say you have a legitimate question. (Plus my mom always said the only stupid question was the one left unasked.)

You didn't want to just add tomatoes or cherries to one or the other recipe, you were hoping to find one with both already listed. Simple question with an answer that's not so simple.

If anyone has a recipe that has both, or had luck finding one in a browser, could you please post it?

If anyone has a good recipe that they think would taste good adding either the tomatoes or cherries could you post that?

And Jen? No grinding your teeth after oral surgery, that's bad! =)

You have to put a space before each of the + signs.

recipe +cherries +tomatoes +salsa

That tells google that you want a recipe that must contain all the words 'cherries', 'tomatoes' and 'salsa'.

Don't mind jen, she's strung out right now.

Sorry but you aren't making sense.

What could be simpler than merely adding tomatoes to one of the many recipes for cherry salsa that she claimed to have found? IMO, that's just DUH.
