For starters, you could make portobello mushrooms with a bit of shrimp and glazed peach slices. Top that with some freshly chopped basil. Fried calamari with tartar and marinara sauce would be pretty good, too.

The actual meal would go nice with something like champagne risotto and your favorite dish made out of white fish or pork milanese.

Fondue is a simple dessert and has a romantic feel. A little bit of chili powder and a touch of lime to some dark chocolate fondue is to die for, though.

These might sound a bit hard, but once you get to them they're all really easy.

Here's another "dinner for two" thread with some great ideas: Dinner for two.

If you put in an ingredient in the search box above and hit the orange Search button, nearly any of the recipes you find can be halved, or the leftovers set aside for lunch or dinner on another day.

And welcome to the forums!

Here is a link for an old thread. The 3rd post has a couple links that could help. If you go to www.allrecipes.com you can change the serving portions to 2 on most of them. Or if you go to www.tasteofhome.com under the advanced search there is a spot that you can check for meals for 2. A lot of the reicpes here can be easily halved too.
