I have been planning weekly menus and posting them on the refrigerator door for almost 50 years. When the children were at home just having the menu posted kept them from asking "what's for dinner" and works well with my husband now. I never shop more than once a week but do stock up on basics when they are on sale or from a warehouse store. I highly recommend this as a way of life. It really makes the whole process easier and less stressful. Sometimes we switch the menus around or do something spur of the moment; they are not set in stone.

I was surprised to see that meatballs, or chicken, or whatever the meat might be was often repeated two days in a row and that all the menus had pizza for Friday. Also, what happens on the weekend? A true menu plan is for the entire week, not just 4 days plus pizza. Not everyone can eat out the entire weekend. This is a good beginning for people who have never tried planning ahead, but it needs some revision.

Yes. Don't look for those kinds of things here.

I wish there were healthy menu selections that I actually need a recipe for. Everything I have seen so far is very, very simple, not so good for you and something I would not fix for my family. I have a full time job and two small children but I still want to put something healthy, not processed and delicious on the table. Does any one have any suggestions?

what was your point? If I missed it. I think you took a lot of what I said out of context also. I thought they created this message board so they could hear our suggestions, not our whines and cries. All people have to do is say how to improve the site or the express checkout. I think Kraft would listen to that more than someone just totally bad mouthing it. But it seems that your complaints are more about me than about Kraft, so I will end this now.

wow. I really think someone must work for a frozen dinner company or something. I am sorry that I do like to cook. I am sorry you think that I am suggesting that beginner cooks don't deserve healthy meals. Maybe some of us just run out of ideas for dinner. I have been cooking since I could reach the stove. My mother taught me good old southern cooking and she taught me healthy cooking too. Some of us are on a budget too. Frozen dinners are not economical. I am not saying the express checkout is cheap either. But alot of the stuff you put in those recipes people have on hand. I usually just need the produce and the meat. I have the pantry stuff already. I have 3 boys and a husband to feed. I like to save time by using this. I also use 90% lean hamburger, skinless chicken breast, low fat dressings and cheeses. I don't think my kids should have to eat tofu and soy and raw veggies everynight. Have you ever heard of enjoying your food? You can make it healthier and still enjoyable. The key is PORTION CONTROL, and most people find that helpful. It helped me lose my pregnancy weight after each baby. But like I said on one of the other topics, if you don't like it, don't use it.

People who don't cook very much or don't have time deserve to eat healthy too. They shouldn't have to be second class nutritional citizens and be forced to eat processed crap. Lots of frozen dinners available in the freezer case are much better but busy people and their families deserve a home cooked meal, too.

Yes, people certainly complain about the selections being unhealthy. Their point is that they don't need to be.
Kraft can certainly listen to them and update their selections to include more healthy meals.

All everyone does is complain on this message board. I understand that some of you can't do the spicy and tomato because of medical reasons, but those of you who just can't handle the spice, where are you from?? I usually use my 2 year old as a guide. If he thinks it is ok, then it is ok for everyone else. I have made a lot of these recipes and i have not found one that was spicy at all. But it seems like everyone complains about the same thing. Everyone thinks these recipes are sooo unhealthy. These recipes are made for people who don't cook very much or don't have much time to cook. Do you think fast food and frozen dinners are better? I think you can also choose leaner meats and add more veggies to suit your need. I would like to see healthy living express checkout, but I think the ideas they have are good. I don't know many other websites trying to make life easier for families.

Possibly Boca meatless products. Post Selects whole grain cereal is also pretty healthy. The health concious would only eat those two products. But Crystal Light is almost calorie free, but contains many artifical additives.

The menu selections is just that. A selection, and a suggestion. Be creative, and do it your way to make it healthy. I'm on weight watchers and I'm looking for new ideas, but what I do is just arrange a recipe to suit the points system and make it healthy for my family and I to eat. No big deal. It's fun, and it ends up to be your recipe. I love the " One Bag Week " even though it turns out to be two most of the time. It still helps with the dull drums.

I'm not sure why you claim that Kraft is NOT HEALTHY.

Sure a lot of Kraft products are high in fat and sodium and preservatives, but other products can be a regular part of a very healthy diet.

I have mentioned this before, but the limitation I see with the Express Lane recipes is that so many of them are impossible to convert to kosher recipes for my family. I realize we are not in the majority but still, it would be nice to find at least one night a week where the entire menu would work for us. I don't mind having to work to find good meals for my family but I was hoping to find more help here than I have.

I realize a lot of people love Kraft but it seems we have found one who goes a bit overboard. :-p Scotty0, you seem so enthusiastic!

Your poor family would be bored to tears if you only used Kraft. Not to mention that many of the Express Meal selections are not very healthy for them, particularly if sodium is an issue.

Why not healthier choices as well as less spicy ones?
