I've found that ham doesn't freeze very well. Do you have any tips? Reading Stouf's post I realized he hasn't been around forever! The swiffers must have ran him off

You can always freeze it, use it for sandwiches (yeah I know you probably already do that), make ham salad out of it, someone already said soup, the last time I made something like 'tuna casserole' but used the ham instead and it was good. Try making macaroni and cheese and adding cut up ham to it, slicing it into salads, etc.

Soup is my favorite! either ham split pea or make a minestrone
next is ham & pasta - such as http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/recipedetail.htm?recipe_id=52701
ham pot pie - Make a white sauce, adding a bit of mustard. Stir in cut up ham, 1 cup frozen peas, & a chopped onion. LOL - add a chopped up a hardboiled egg if you have that left over from Easter too pour into a pie pan, cover with pie crust & bake

I love to make split pea and ham soup with leftover ham, yummm. I also have a close friend who makes ham wedges--2 pizza shells, spread one with mayo, ham and provolone, top with other shell--bake 15 min on 425, then add lettuce, tomato, onion. It is soooooo good.

I think that's a very good recipe because you combine what you like with healthy left over food and that would really be so cool.

I take the left over ham and asparagus and mix it with scalloped potatoes. I also make a navy bean soup with the ham or ham bone if no meat is left. It is very yummy!

Take a can of pineapple (preferably crushed) and drain liquid. Place on foil lined baking sheet. Spread 3-4 T of Brown sugar over pineapple and broil 3-4 min or until sugar is dissolved. Cut the ham into bite sized chunks. Toast 2 pieces of bread per person Spread cream cheese (try the one with pineapple in it!) onto bread slices Top with ham and pineapple and enjoy!
MMMM Yummy! You could also place the mixture into a pita pocket for an on the go lunch!

I lay out a piece of ham, spread it with Miracle Whip (savory) or Cool Whip (desserty) then add fun toppings like red peppers, cheese, and M&Ms. Then secure with a toothpick. I find the flavors play well together.
