We make it with ground beef and to that we add diced onions, salt, pepper, and woshersire sauce, then divide it in half and put it in your loaf pan, next use what ever kind of cheese you like(we use Cheddar) to make a cheese tunnel in the middle and then put the rest of your meat on top, then we top it with BBQ sauce and Bacon.......sooo good! My mom started making this for me when I was a kid cause I hated the taste of meat.

I make my "meatloaf" with ground turkey. I add 1/2 cup shredded carrots, 3 Tbs onion flakes, seasoned bread crumbs, and I use SALSA instead of ketchup. It's light and delish! You can sprinkle some low fat cheddar cheese and a little more salsa across the top before baking. My 3 year old grandson loves it.

I also enjoy buying cheeses sausage and after spicing the ground beef and adding half a can of tomato sauce I mold it around the cheese-sausage. Once cooked you slice and each slice has cheese-sausage kids love it! If no sausage chop of some hot dog wieners in the mix kids will eat it like crazy.

I got a recipe from Sandra Lee(Semi Homemade). It is on the Food Network site and is called the Smothered Meatloaf. It is cooked in a crockpot and you put potatoes on the bottom so you have a complete meal if a salad is added. Very Good!!

My family are not fans of using tomato substances in meatloaf. I put in one-half can of Cream of Mushroom soup and then 20 minutes before taking the meatloaf out of the oven, spread the rest of the can of soup over the top of the meatloaf.
It's a different flavor that seems to be enjoyed by all. This is one of my favorite dishes to take to neighbors in need due to illness, death in the family, etc. Always get asked for the recipe.
Enjoy!

Hi...this is the best meatloaf I have had!! Never boring!
1.5 pounds of Ground Sirloin 1 extra Large Egg 1/2 cup each Sweet Onion and Green Pepper minced (I use my blender) 1 cup Ketchup, divided 1/2 cup Rolled Oats 1/8 cup Brown Sugar (I use dark) Salt and Pepper (optional)
Pre heat oven to 375. In a large bowl mix everything except 1/2 cup of ketchup and brown sugar. Divide mixture evenly among a regular muffin pan. In a small bowl combine ketchup and brown sugar. Spread over each mini meatloaf. Bake for 30-40 minutes.

my meatloaf recipe:
1 lb ground beef 12 oz ground pork 3 slices fresh bread, processed into crumbs 2 carrots 1/2 c fresh parsley 1/2 small onion 2 cloves garlic 1 egg 1/2 c parmesan 1/4 c ketchup s&p
grind carrots, onion, parsley, and garlic in food processor until minced. mix with meats, breadcrumbs, and remaining ingredients (do not overmix). Mixture is fairly wet, but often I add more breadcrumbs or parm to my taste. form into a loaf shape in a baking dish and top with this glaze:
1/2 c ketchup 1 Tbsp dry mustard 1/4 c brown sugar
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until done in center.
My kids love it, they won't eat anyone else's.

I make a very simple meatloaf, instead of using ketchup I use a can of Bold Manwich sauce and it is awesome!

try this recipe. My family loves it.
1 pound hamburger 1/2 package chickeen stuffing 1 egg little bit of ketchup 1/4 cup salsa shredded cheese-whatever kind you like
preheat oven to 350. put hamburger in bowl and season to your liking. add egg, salsa, ketchup and mix with hamburger. add stuffing and mix. put in ungreased pan and cook for 55 minutes. after 55 minutes sprinkle cheese on top of it (as much as you like depending on what your family likes). cook for 5 to 10 more minutes and serve.

instead of tomato sauce add one yellow can of EL PATO found in the ethnic aisle where the salsa and enchilada sauces are. This gives it a bit of a kick. Soooo good.
