You can make your lasagna without those cheeses. Try substituting crumbled feta cheese. It gives it a nice flavor.

Also, I usually don't bother boiling my noodles. However, you have to use extra sauce and as the lasagna cooks, the starch from the noodles thickens the extra sauce.

Thanks, but I said we didn't like cottage or ricotta cheese. I am wanting to know if I can make a no-boil lasagna without those.

I've always liked Sandra Lee's recipe, which uses cottage cheese and tomato soup.

Lasagna question

My family doesn't like ricotta or cottage cheese in lasagna. I am wanting to try making lasagna without precooking the noodles, but most recipes call for one of these cheeses. Can I make a no-boil lasagna without those cheeses?
