Here is a recipe we enjoy:
1 whole chicken, about 3 lbs. 1 Tbsp. olive oil 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper 1/4 tsp. dried oregano 1/4 tsp. dried basil 1/4 tsp. paprika 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 450°. Rinse chicken inside and out with cold water; remove visible fat. Pat dry with paper towels. Put chicken into a small baking pan. Rub with olive oil. Mix the salt, pepper, oregano, basil, paprika and cayenne pepper together and sprinkle over chicken. (sprinkle inside, as well) Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Lower the oven to 400° and continue roasting 40 minutes, to a minimum internal temperature of 180°. Let rest 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

Hi! I'm new to the site, so if I mess this up... don't laugh at me? Anyway, I've got steak marinating in the fridge but I don't know what to make with it! We're all a bit sick of plain old mashed potatoes and veggies. I was thinking rice, but does anybody have any suggestions on how to make the rice?
