i make a similar dessert. we call it fake cheesecake.

1 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup margarine (melted)
1 - 8 oz pkg cream cheese ****
1/2 cup sugar
1 can crushed pineapple (well drained) **
1 pkg cool whip

Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted margarine together. Press into pie plate or 9" spring pan.

Cream together cream cheese and sugar. Add crushed pineapple. Mix in cool whip. Spread over crumb base. refrigerate atleast 1 hour.

*** substitute strawberries or mixed berries instead of pineapple.

**** can also be made with soy products for cream cheese and cool whip is dairy free. turns out just the same as none dairy products

plumnutzzz, I finally got to try this pie!. But, first I want to tell you what I had to do to make this pie, you might need the laugh,:-D. I checked before going to the store and thought that I had everything except the crust. Got dinner started then wanted to make the pie. 1st. I checked for the sour cream, the container had olives in it, but found another one in the bottom of the frig, then I went to 2 cabnets and 4 cans pineapple before finding the crushed, them the pudding, the only kind of instant that I had turns green when you mixed it, :-D. Well, made the pie anyhow, hahaha. Now the good part! It was well worth it! my D.H. and I both loved it, it is a "keeper"! Thanks, again.

It really is great! I have taken it to family reunions and holiday dinners and have ALWAYS been asked for the recipe. (I haven't given it to the family yet, cuz I don't want them to steal it. :^O)

Can't wait to see how ya'll like it!

That sounds great. I was looking for a recipe that already had everything to make. Now I'll have to give this one a try tommarrow.

WOW that really sounds good and easy:-D. Next time I make a dessert I'am going to try it. I like to mix pudding in fruit salad instead of cool whip, so that would work just as a salsd, to. yum!
