Chilled Cantaloupe Soup

1 medium cantaloupe, peeled,seeded and
cubed
2 cups orange juice, divided
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Fresh mint, optional

Place cantaloupe and 1/2 cup orange juice in a blender or food processor; cover and process until smooth. Transfer to large bowl; stir in lime juice, cinnamon and the remaining orange juice. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Garnish with mint if desired.

> What? Great ideas!

This is a great community for picking up ideas. If you make your fruit smoothies with tofu, your fried will get an extra helping of protein as well.

When I was a kid, we had neighbors on one side that were second generation Hungarian and on the other side Greek. From the Hungarian neighbors I learned to love cherry soup similar to this recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cold-Cherry-Soup/Detail.aspx

I would puree the cherries though instead of leaving them halved. It's yummy.

Smoothies are a sweet and healthy way to have a type of dessert in liquid form as well.

Oh Ow! I hope their better soon.

There are lots of things you can mix into milkshakes or frappes. Ice cream is a good comfort food this time of year.
