People are so different. I just love that about life. For me, it isn't a burger without lettuce, tomato and onion. We don't have White Castle, but I have tried them when we were traveling. They just don't cut it for me.
Plus, dressing isn't dressing without cornbread! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Oh I get it, they are so good... I have them "around me" just not a quick trip down the street.... But, nothing compares. A tad off-topic but White Castle deserves a little air time...

Funny thing is, I just finished a great dinner of homemade BBQ chicken pizza, salad and fruit and if someone walked thru the door with a bag of WC's, I'd eat 6. I miss them so!

jen.... are you thinking you'd give this a try??? It just seems so nutty, yet SO good.... I would have to make a special trip to get the burgers (did some research since hearing this and I would use fresh from the take-out window instead of the frozen) but.... I do think I see that in my future, just sounds so good.... WEIRD, but worth the effort. Also, long enough "test period" before the BIG dinner to give it a go...

Get Out!!! That sounds delicious.... if I had a White Castle close enough, that would be tonight's side dish... Get Out! Someone must have had a bag of leftover burgers -that would NOT happen in my house- and got very creative with using them up. I love this idea.....

I was really curious about the White Castle stuffing. I LOVE White Castle and we don't have them where I live. (And the ones available in the freezer section at the market just don't cut it.)
Here's a link to a recipe for the stuffing: http://www.recipesource.com/fgv/stuffing/white-castle-turkey1.html

I have lots of favorites that I make each year. We have a large family and our house is the Thanksgiving Place to be. I usually feed 40+ so I make sure everyone has something that is their favorite. There is a pumpkin pecan cake that I make with Cream Cheese frosting that is a requested dessert. From Fried Apples, Turnips, Limas, Sweet Potato Casserole, Cabbage Casserole, Homemade Cranberry Relish, etc I try to fix things that we remember from our Grandma's kitchen. Thanksgiving is my favorite celebrate.

Fresh cranberry orange relish and turkey basted with cooking sherry...yum dark rich skin. The cooking sherry gives our bird an interesting, rich flavor
