rainbow sherbert and ginger ale. Just take the sherbert out of the freezer put half in punch bowl and pour 2 liters of ginger ale on top refresh as needed, you can also use hawaiian punch the same way although it tastes better with berry sherbert

You can never go wrong with "dirt cake". I've went all out, bought (& washed) flower pots, added the oreo/pudding mix, gummy worms, and a fake flower in the middle - but not necessary if you have dessert dishes, etc. Maybe it could be "Pasture Flowers after Rain" dessert? Have a fun day!

I don't really mean to promote another website because I do like this one but try going to familyfun.com It has a great list of really cool birthday cakes and ideas for parties. Some of the cakes are a little hard and not really for a 3 yr olds party but some are simple. I've made the skateboard and lego cake off there for my stepsons and they loved them. They were simple too! Check it out if you still have time.
Good Luck and remember...3 year olds are easy to impress. Don't get so worked up over it. Give sweets, treats then relax and enjoy.

Did this years ago. Went to local feed store and bought 2 new galvanized buckets, washed them and in one we had horse feed (sweet feed) , it was chex mix. In the other we had hay stacks. Chow mein noodles, karo syrup, crunchy peanut butter. We drank lemonade and tea. All the kids were given a bandana, and we played swat the pig (pink ballons with curly ribbon tied to end and face drawn on other end). They took a fly swatter and swatted thepiginto the barn lot (used cones for obstacle course) Lasso the bull (we have a barrel with bull head from team pinning) kids throw a hula hoop overbulls head. You could take a chair and tape a horsehead to it. And wehad stick horse barrel racing. We also borrowed a pony that we later purchased for my daughter and the kids had pony rides. My all time favorite party next to my middle daughter's Bob The Builder Party!!!!!!!!! We are horse crazy!!!!!!!! You can alwaysmake a cake and go to Tractor Supply or your local Co Op and buy a Horse set with a fence and put that on top. Good Luck! (don't forget horse shoes)

If you don't have time for the horse cake, an easy one is to make any cake, add white icing and decorate it with gummi savers everywhere like polka dots. Very cute! Easy food for my three year old is hot dogs (cut in half) and wrapped by cresent rolls. The adults end up eating more than the kids. It's a childhood comfort food. You can also cut up fruit and make an easy dip using strawberry flavored marshmallow fluff and a block of cream cheese. It's pink and fluffy and gets the kids to eat their fruit. There's also a pull-apart pizza recipe that uses easy toppings, shredded cheese and pizza dough cut up into chunks and baked. Quick, easy, and can be made ahead. Good Luck and just enjoy the time! The kids aren't going to remember the food, to be honest.

K.I.S.S. Keep it simple, sister!
I have a horse shaped cookie cutter...that would be cute if you made something super basic like grilled cheese and cut them into a horse shape. Most kiddos like the old grilled cheese and the cookie cutter shouldn't be a hard thing to find. PB&J would work, too.
What about fruit skewers? Obviously remove the bamboo skewers before giving to the kids, but it could resemble a rainbow on the platter and be very easy to serve. Make a yogurt dip to go along with the fruit.
Hot dogs? Maybe sliced lengthwise and made into a finger food? Can't believe I'm out of ideas!! Sorry...
