Hi Jadapatchblue,
Welcome to the message boards! Here is the official Kraft statement on BHA and BHT:

"All ingredients and additives in our products have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and have been clearly demonstrated by scientific studies to be completely safe as used. The maximum quantity of an additive allowed by the FDA provides and insures a very wide margin of safety. BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole) and BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) are antioxidants which preserve food color and flavor.

We use BHA and BHT in minute amounts in some food products and certain packaging materials. If BHA or BHT is directly added to our product it will be listed in the ingredient line."

Watch out for carcinogenic preservatives in Kraft products. Kool-Aid is a prime example. BHA and BHT were banned in Europe over twenty years ago due to potential health concerns.
