oH BY THE WAY HOLLYPOND

POSTUM MAY HAVE BEEN GONE A LONG TIME...BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE JUST DISCOVERED THAT

BECAUSE A JAR OF POSTUM LAST ABOUT A MONTH..IT ISNT LIKE COKE....AND MOST OF US HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STILL GET POSTUM UNTIL NOW... BUT NOW IT IS GONE OFF THE SHELF AND THERE ARE A LOT OF POSTUM LOVERS THAT ARE IN SHOCK

THE COMPANY THAT MADE POSTUM JUST DOESNT UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR POSTUM...IT ISNT LIKE COFFE THAT YOU CAN JUST GO AOUT AND GET A DIFFERENT BRAND...

HI EVERYONE

KRAFT DELETED ABOUT 15 OF MY POSTS TODAY

I GUESS THEY REALLY DONT LIKE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THE WAY THEY DO BUSINESS

ANYWAY I HAVE A GREAT IDEA

SOME OTHER COMPANY WILL START MAKING A PRODUCT THAT IS VERY VERY CLOSE TO POSTUM...IT WILL HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME INGREDIENTS....AND THEY WILL CALL IT

GET THIS:

POST YUM

BECause of course they cant call it postum....as kraft would most likely sue them ...being the kind souls that they are..

I ACTUALLY FEEL CONFIDENT THAT WILL HAPPEN... there are just too many people out there that still want postum and some SMART company will pick up on that !

until then I am rationing my small supply of postum...

there is nothing like it folks...yummmmmm!!!

lets hear it for POST YUM!!!!

I will not by another Kraft product - no respect for customers. If Postum were marketed properly it would sell.

I just found out a few minutes ago that Kraft had discontinued Postum. I had people all over town looking for the product for me only to find out it is gone!

I have just recently decided to quit my two pot coffee a day habit, but knew I could only do it if I had Postum to replace it.

I am in total agreement with the previous poster who said they would boycott every product that Kraft makes until Postum comes back.

I haven't gone through my pantry yet, but I have removed both Velveeta and Kraft Cheddar Cheese from my fridge and trashed it. Both of which have just been recently opened.

I vow never, ever to use Kraft products again until they bring back Postum!

Try Roma

Posted: Apr 2, 2008 11:42 PM
I thought kraft was all about healthy living, Postum should be subsidized if not profitable anymore. X-(
Kaffree Roma is an alternative, I think It's a kosher drink, very good.
Looks and tastes more like instant coffee

Hello.... maybe it was Krafts error in not advertising. I'm 42 and had never heard of this product until an elderly friend of mine asked me to find her more of it. I was looking forward to trying it due to health issues with caffene. Guess the almighty dollar speaks....Kraft on again!

I cannot believe this! I had decided that my favorite supermarket had discontinued handling Postum and I got online to try to order a several bottles. I had just convinced my friend to switch over to Postum and had given him a bottle of my personal stash. When his wife went out to buy Postum when that bottle was gone she couldn't find it anywhere. Now I find that Kraft has discontinued Postum. What a disaster! Kraft, why would you do this to such loyal customer base? Have you considered just selling it as a specialty online only product? Can you reconsider your decision. Is anyone here at Kraft reading any of these postings? I sincerely hope so. BruMar

I have been drinking postum every morning since i was 10 years old. i am now 61 years old, and cannot find postum in any of our local supermarkets. They have discontinued the product, and I am very unhappy about it. I bought 3 jars a few months ago, because that was all that was left on the shelf; I just opened my last jar this morning. Please don"t stop making it, because there are a lot of people out there my age and older who still need to drink it. My son is 27 and he likes to drink it too. Thank you.

My mother called me tonight basically freaking out because she's running out of Postum and can't find more anywhere. She drinks Postum every night as an alternative to coffee. My mother is very particular with what she eats or drinks and it would be very hard for her to substitute Postum as her favorite hot beverage at night. Needless to say she's very disappointed.

Postum hoarding tips

Posted: Mar 19, 2008 12:00 AM
You guys....besides ebay, I went out into the rural areas to little mom and pop grocery stores, and you can still find some on the shelves in some places. And one poster mentioned to watch out for "expired" product. This is something that it confusing to me. All the time growing up, POSTUM never carried an expiration date, as a matter of fact, the jar in my cabinet at this very moment that I bought about a year ago carries no expiration date. It seems like KRAFT employed the expiration date as a last ditch effort to pump up sales? Making people think the product goes bad after 3 or 4 months, when I can tell you for a fact, that as a child I regularly drank postum that was 2 years old. (We drank it occasionally, not all the time) But think about it's ingredients, the worst that could hapen is it can cake up and get rancid. But considering the ingredients..... you can keep it indefinately in the the freezer, especially new jars that are sealed. I bought up 16 jars, and put them all in the freezer. A matter of fact, just store it in the freezer at all times, and you don't have to worry about any freshness date..... and if kept in the freezer, it will always be safe to use, according to the USDA:
