Larry from Naples, Fla....thank you for the recipe to duplicate Kraft Miracle French Dressing. Your recipe is pretty darn close to the money! I tweaked your recipe a little bit, and think I came even closer. Here it is:
1 envelope Good Seasons Italian Salad dressing mix
(prepared according to pkg. instructions)
Then add:
1-1/2 Tbs. ketchup
1 Tbs. sugar (I use Splenda)
1 scant tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. sweet hungarian paprika
You can adjust the sugar to make it sweeter if you like, but we like ours on the tangy side.
This is a smaller amount that the recipe that you posted, but there are only 2 of us, so don't need the large amount that your original recipe makes.
Folks, for those of you who have been craving Kraft Miracle French dressing, try this...you won't be disappointed! Thanks again Larry for a good recipe. My life is now complete...well, almost!

These message boards are the worst in as far as they are a welcome area to post anything. Terribly designed and not POST-FRIENDLY!!!!
That being said, I'd like to complain bitterly about the NEW TASTE of CREAMY FRENCH Dressing!!! It's really horrible and basically tastes like that really bad CATALINA dressing they used to have. I've been a consumer of their OLD CREAMY FRENCH Dressing since I was a kid in the 60s. Now I'm not going to buy it anymore. Thanks a bunch Kraft. I'll take my money elsewhere!!!!

Okay. Let's get this straight. Miracle French Dressing and Miracles Whip have nothing to do with each other in terms of ingredients. The only relationship is they both are (or were) Kraft products, they have the word 'Miracle" in their title, and they were stored in bottles. You can't mix French dressing with Miracle Whip and get Miracle French anymore than you can create a watershed by hosing down your barn.
Miracle French, I am afraid, is like a 25 cent gallon of gas.

Google is a wonderful thing!
http://www.massrecipes.com/recipes/05/06/miraclefrenchdressing316811.html
Recipe: Miracle French Dressing

1/2 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
1 tablespoon cold water
1/4 teaspoon boiling water
1/2 cup tomato juice
3 to 4 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Dash of black pepper

Dissolve gelatin in cold water, stirring well. Add boiling water; stir
gelatin and set aside.

Combine remaining ingredients in container of electric blender;
process on low speed. Add gelatin mixture; continue to process until
smooth (about 1 minute). Chill thoroughly. Stir well before serving.
Yield: 1 cup (about 5 calories per tablespoon).

I haven't tried this but I have a feeling it's more like Catalina.

Yes, Auntie Sandie, Miracle French Dressing does heal the sick!!! haha

Actually it's an oil based vinagarette that was one of just 4 or 5 available Kraft dressings for years and years -like back in the 60's (yah I'm old... )

I don't expect it to re-emerge on the shelves - there are so many oil-based and creamy delicious dressings. But I do wish the Kraft Kitchen would make a recipe available to those of us who miss it!

I see some of these inquiries about it are a year old!!! Come on, Kraft! Give it up! thankyouverymuch!

Ok, I've never even heard of Miracle French Dressing. Am I missing something amazing? Is it simply French dressing + Miracle Whip? ?:|

I don't get it. What's so miraculous about french dressing? Did it heal the sick? Help the blind to see? I've tasted french dressing before and didn't really like it. Now RANCH dressing is where it's at. Does ***** make a miracle ranch dressing? It's soooo good with so many things! It's cool, creamy, classy and versatile! ;)
