Hi Yvette,
Welcome to the message boards! I found the recipe you were asking about:

Mom's Best Sweet Potato Casserole:
http://http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/moms-best-sweet-potato-95170.aspx

There are make ahead instructions at the bottom of the recipe:

"Mashed potato mixture can be prepared ahead of time. Cover and refrigerate up to 2 days. When ready to serve, uncover, sprinkle with streusel topping and bake as directed."

Enjoy!

Hi,
I always make this family favorite ahead of time and put in the freezer. I make as the recipe calls for, even adding the topping. Then I freeze it. This freezes great and anything made ahead of time helps with holiday preparations. I generally let it thaw ahead of time before baking, but have taken it from frozen state to oven. Enjoy.

Sweet Potato Souffle

3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1 cup sugar
½ tsp salt
2 eggs
1/3 stick butter
½ cup sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients. Pour into a greased baking dish. Cover with the following topping:1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 cup chopped nuts
1/3 stick butter
Mix the above ingredients well and sprinkle on souffle. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Hi Mems,
Because you refered to a specific Magazine/recipe and I don't know what is in it, I feel unqualified to answer your post specifically, but I will tell you that, when I prepare our Thanksgiving dinner, I always assemble the vegetable dishes the day before and refrigerate them, then calculate oven times for everything after the turkey comes out. I hope this helps somewhat.

Hi
There is a recipe in Holiday Bliss issue for "Mom's Best Sweet Potato Casserole"
Can I make it a day or two ahead? Then cook or reheat it on Thanksgiving. What would the procedure be?
Thanks.
Yvette
