Thanks guys. Glad to see I am appreciated. As long as I can hop on the boards to avoid doing real work from time- to -time, I am happy! (And I will gladly take any compensation Kraft is willing to offer- heck I'll even take a hiatus from their swiffering!)

Pam is still around. I see Chef Bill on occasion. Snowballman is laying low. Maybe he melted? Yes, St.B. is a gift to this board. They should put her on the payroll.

I'm sure that Dennis is gathering data for the Kraft BBQ Sauce Team. Hey, maybe that's where Michele went. It mite be one of those top secret things.

Considering how quickly they get around to helping Michele, my guess is the gluten team and the Kraft graphic wizards are one and the same.

The info was unfortunately too late for the birthday party, but useful all the same. For that I thank you....

Hi mpararas,
I am sorry it has taken me so long to post this reply. I was waiting to hear within Kraft for the correct information. Fat Free Cool Whip and Sugar Free Fat Free JELL-O Instant Pudding do not contain gluten.

If wheat, rye, oats or barley are added to the product via one of the ingredients in the product, then the words 'wheat', 'rye', 'oats', or 'barley' will appear on the ingredient statement. In other words, if forms of gluten are not listed in the ingredient list, then gluten is not present. You should always check the ingredient list as products' formulas change from time to time.

Here are the links for the ingredient list for these products.
JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Fat Free Sugar Free Instant Reduced Calorie Pudding & Pie Filling: http://http://www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?s=product&m=product/Product_display&Site=1&Product=4300020581

COOL WHIP FREE Whipped Topping: http://http://www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?s=product&m=product/Product_display&Site=1&Product=4300000287

(By clicking on the "Products" on the top of this page, you can use the "Product Info" tool to find nutritional information and ingredients for Kraft products.)

I think you will find this article helpful:
Choosing Gluten-Free Foods:
http://
http://www.kraftfoods.com/health/articles/gluten_free_0623031.pdf
I know that Modified Food Starch appears on many labels. In this article, it clarifies this in regards to Kraft products:

"Food Starch and Modified Food Starch: When listed in the ingredient statement of Kraft products, “food starch” and “modified food starch” often refer to corn starch. Our ingredient suppliers assure us that the corn starch we use in our products does not contain gluten. If a Kraft product uses food starches from a gluten- containing source, such as wheat starch, the source will always be identified in the ingredient statement.”

Once again I am sorry I was not able to respond more quickly.

Cool Whip is pretty darn awful anyway, so you were better off without it.

I'm still pretty miffed they didn't answer you and blew off that other person who asked about the salad dressing.

I have a friend who very nearly dies from eating something that had shrimp in it -- after being told it did not. Food allergies are serious matters!

Yes. How can they expect to sell products if they won't answer simple questions like this? I expect it is too late for mpararas' party anyway.
