Oh, man, you need to trust your instincts! It IS insane, and it is just nasty. The cheese fudge is the biggest waste of time and money because it isn't fit to eat and you will be throwing it in the trash. I am not kidding. You will also have to have the embarrassment of having made something so awful. You may never live it down. Just don't go there. Really.

The recipe I have had for decades was from a cream cheese box and is like the one in the link below but without vanilla.
4C sifted 10X 1 - 8 oz pckg. cream cheese 4 - 1 oz sq. unsweetened choc, melted dash salt 1/2 C chopped nuts (optional)
Gradually add sugar to softened cream cheese mixing well after each addition. Add other ingredients. Spread into greased 8: square pan.

Hi Schroies, Thanks for the link. I had heard of that fudge, but hadn't seen a recipe. It is most likely better for you also. I tried the one with american cheese and it was not good, .

a long time ago, my mother gave me a recipe for fudge from a cream cheese wrapper.
It was no-bake. It had three ingredients: cream cheese, chocolate chips, and powdered sugar. It was the best, creamiest recipe I've ever used. I lost the recipe. Can you help me????
Thanks.
