In those cases, my favorite snack is Apple and cheese, You can cut the apple, but not all the way ,with an apple sectioner and put it in a baggie, then pull it apart as you eat it and just break off pieces of the cheese, no knife needed,:). Although I did get throu the metal detector with a 2" box cutter on my key chain, it looked like a football helmet. NO, I didn't do it on purpose, just didn't think about it untill later, and NO, I didn't point it out or tell them!:-D P.S. That was also the same airport that made me take the bobby pins out of my hair because they were setting off the body scaner:)

Good Morning,
Nautalus, you should really go to the FAA website. They list items that you can bring in your carryone. They are very specific about how much liquid you can bring.

Otherwise, try peanut butter crackers or cheese crackers already in the pack. Special K makes a Protein bar (I sometimes eat it for breakfast when I'm in a hurry)- I found it on the medicine aisle of the grocery.... not where the granola bars are. Good Luck.

How about an apple and a zip top bag of mixed raisins and nuts?

A bag of goldfish are always one of my favorite travel snacks.

You can try those simple snack like mini carrot and peanut butter or ranch dressing. You can actually find those mini bags and mini dipping in most comment market. And you can also bring few mini cup of noodle and ask the flight attendant for hot water. Or set up your own sandwich. Of Course, before you bring anything on broad, make sure you call the airlines can you bring anything on broad. Otherwise, they will ask you to throw everything away. Each airlines had difference rules. Like difference charge on Check in Luggage. So, write down the questions that you want to ask the airline then call them to find out first. Have a save Trip!. :)
